Imagine stepping into a game where everything changes with each move. That is what Oasis does. Oasis is an open-world game built with AI. Every pixel, every move, changes in real time. This happens without pre-set rules or graphics. It is a unique world where the game evolves as you play.

Oasis uses AI to generate every part of the game environment. Players navigate this world using only a keyboard and mouse. Each keypress creates a new frame, making the game experience fluid and dynamic. The AI model learned how to build this world by watching gameplay. It now powers everything, from how you pick up items to breaking blocks.

Two companies worked together to create Oasis. Decart AI and Etched DoAI merged their skills. Decart AI made huge advances in training and using large AI models. They secured $21 million in funding for their work. They aim to make AI more accessible and efficient.

Etched DoAI takes a different approach with hardware. Found by Harvard dropouts, they focus on chips. These chips, called Soo, work only with Transformer models. This design allows them to perform better than general-purpose chips. They raised $120 million to develop these chips, betting big on their use in AI tech.

The tech behind Oasis involves two main ideas. First are diffusion models, which clean up blurry images to make clear ones. This helps create smooth video frames in the game. Then there are Transformers, which remember past actions to inform future frames. This ensures the game feels real and responsive.

Running a game like Oasis needs a lot of computing power. For now, it runs on GPUs at low resolution. But the Soo chip aims to change this. These chips could run the game in full 4K, making it cheaper and more accessible.

Oasis is not the first AI-generated game. Google tried something similar with Doom and their GameNgen tech. This AI could create game graphics and manage mechanics like health and ammo. It used AI models for real-time gameplay, much like Oasis.

Oasis shows a new path for gaming. The game reacts to each move and decision, creating a new experience every time. While it is still early days, Oasis could lead to huge changes in interactive technology. This is just the start of what AI can do in games, making each session a unique adventure.
