Google has added its latest AI video generator, Veo 3, to its Vertex AI platform, making the tool accessible to anyone with a Vertex account. A streamlined version dubbed Veo 3 Fast is available for teams that need rapid results for quick-turnaround videos.
Creators often face barriers like budget limits, tight schedules, or the need for specialized skills when turning an idea into a finished clip. Veo 3 tackles those challenges by converting text descriptions into fully produced videos, ranging from short films to product demonstrations, in a matter of minutes.
Usage has grown rapidly. Since May, more than 70 million videos have been made with Veo, reflecting strong global interest in AI-driven storytelling. Commercial users who joined the early access program in June have already generated over 6 million clips for marketing campaigns and internal briefs.
Several major companies are weaving Veo 3 into their own offerings. Canva, the online graphic design service, plans to embed the video tool directly into its editor so subscribers can produce professional clips without switching platforms.
Cameron Adams, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer at Canva, said, “Enabling anyone to bring their ideas to life – especially their most creative ones – has been core to Canva’s mission ever since we set out to empower the world to design. By democratising access to a powerful technology like Google’s Veo 3 inside Canva AI, your big ideas can now be brought to life in the highest quality video and sound, all from within your existing Canva subscription. In true Canva fashion, we’ve built this with an intuitive interface and simple editing tools in place, all backed by Canva Shield.”
Creative agencies report major gains in both speed and realism. BarkleyOKRP tested the upgrade by redoing earlier projects and saw a leap in synchronization between dialogue and facial movements.
Julie Ray Barr, Senior Vice President Client Experience at BarkleyOKRP, commented, “The rapid advancements from Veo 2 to Veo 3 within such a short time frame on this project have been nothing short of remarkable. Our team undertook the task of re-creating numerous music videos initially produced with Veo 2 once Veo 3 was released, primarily due to the significantly improved synchronization between voice and mouth movements. The continuous daily progress we are witnessing is truly extraordinary.”
Global brands are using Veo 3 to customize ads for different markets. Investing platform eToro produced 15 entirely AI-generated versions of a single spot, each delivered in the local language to connect more authentically with audiences.
Shay Chikotay, Head of Creative & Content at eToro, said, “With Veo 3, we produced 15 fully AI-generated versions of our ad, each in the native language of its market, all while capturing real emotion at scale. Ironically, AI didn’t reduce humanity; it amplified it. Veo 3 lets us tell more stories, in more tongues, with more impact.”
Key features of Veo 3 and Veo 3 Fast include:
• AI-driven audio and video at once
The system generates synchronized video frames and soundtracks in a single pass, ensuring lip movements match each spoken line and environmental effects blend seamlessly.
• Professional-grade output
Clips render at 1080p high definition, meeting standards for public campaigns, internal presentations, and product demos without extra post-production work.
• Built-in language adaptation
Native translation tools let teams create one master script, then deliver versions in multiple languages without re-filming actors or re-recording dialogue.
• Photo animation (coming in August)
Users will be able to upload a still image, type a prompt, and watch as the service turns it into an eight-second motion clip complete with subtle movement and ambient sound.
Security measures are baked in to support enterprise use. Every video includes an imperceptible watermark powered by SynthID, which aids in content authentication. Google’s indemnity policy for generative AI extends coverage to businesses relying on Veo 3, giving legal assurance for commercial deployments.
