CSI and HuLoop bring AI no-code automation to NuPoint banks, slashing compliance costs

CSI, a fintech, regtech, and cybersecurity vendor, has formed a partnership with HuLoop, the maker of an AI-powered, no-code automation platform, in a move meant to boost efficiency at banks.

Under the deal, CSI will bring its NuPoint Core Banking System to institutions that can pair it with HuLoop’s automation tools for managing accounts, transactions, and other core banking operations.

Customers on NuPoint will receive access to HuLoop’s Work Intelligence platform, aimed at community and regional banks. The combined offering is presented as a way to address regulatory overhead and lower running costs for smaller institutions.

Banks in this segment often struggle with customer onboarding and document-heavy workloads that are prone to errors and can create approval bottlenecks. Repetitive, low-value tasks in environments with tight compliance rules can leave staff stretched.

HuLoop’s model mixes human review with AI-driven agents that take on routine, manual work. HuLoop’s Todd P. Michaud said, "Human-in-the-loop design helps automation improve people's work rather than replace them. Community banks and credit unions face pressure to grow without adding headcount at the same rate. By integrating HuLoop into CSI’s NuPoint ecosystem, we’re making it easier for institutions to roll out AI automation quickly, securely, and in a regulator-friendly way."

The vendor's no-code platform is built to unify productivity discovery, process automation, workflow orchestration, document processing, and automated testing across lending and collection workflows. That consolidation aims to shorten cycle times for common processes such as loan origination, document verification, and exception handling.

Jeremy Hoard, EVP & Chief Banking Officer of Legends Bank, said, "It’s helping us automate back-office tasks and improve operational efficiency, which allows our team to focus more on delivering exceptional service to our customers."

Jason Young, vice president of product management at CSI, described the objective as getting more value from core banking technology. "We’re extending NuPoint with proven AI-based automation capabilities that simplify operations and help institutions deliver exceptional service," he said.

Implementation will rely on NuPoint integrations and HuLoop’s no-code tooling to reduce the need for custom development. Early adopters can route routine approvals, document extraction, and test scenarios through automated agents and retain human reviewers for oversight.

Industry executives expect the partnership to appeal to community and regional banks that are working to cut operating expenses without heavy additions to staff. The vendors say the combined product will let institutions focus personnel on customer-facing work and strategic tasks rather than repetitive back-office functions.

Both companies highlight security controls and audit trails that keep compliance teams informed as automation handles routine checks. Built-in logs, version control and role-based approvals preserve oversight and produce documentation auditors can review during regular audits.

Adoption timelines will vary by institution and market.
