Industrial robotic arms assembling electronic circuit boards on a production line

Foxconn Partners with Nvidia for Robotic Factories

Virtual models are making big strides in generative AI and computer graphics. These digital humans can now see, understand, and interact with us in very humanlike ways. These models are built on multilingual speech recognition, speech synthesis, and large language models (LLMs) that generate conversations.

Nvidia ACE is a suite of digital human technologies. It includes optimized microservices called NIMs. Developers can integrate ACE NIMs into their existing frameworks and engines. They will also be able to use them in digital human experiences. Some key NIMs include Neotron SLM and LLM NIMs, which understand our intent and orchestrate other models. Reva Speech NIMs handle interactive speech and translation. Audio2Face and Gesture NIMs manage facial and body animation. Omniverse RTX with DLSS provides neural rendering of skin and hair.

Nvidia ACE NIMs run on Nvidia GDN. This global network delivers low-latency digital human processing to over 100 regions. As humans get more used to dealing with AI, Nvidia's digital humans will become more common in everyday environments. Some interactions are better handled by AI, like when you need patient explanations. These AIs can also speak many languages fluently, breaking down cross-border barriers.

AI influencers are another part of this trend. Some have done very well so far. Digital humans might be the next big step in AI. But the story does not end there. Nvidia is also pushing forward with robot factories.

Demand for Nvidia accelerated computing is skyrocketing. Traditional data centers are being modernized into generative AI factories. Foxconn, the world’s largest electronics manufacturer, is getting ready to meet this demand. They are building robotic factories using Nvidia Omniverse and AI.

Factory planners use Omniverse to integrate data from industry applications like Siemens Teamcenter X and Autodesk Revit. They can create a digital twin of the facility. This helps optimize floor layout and line configurations. They also use it to place cameras in the best spots to monitor operations. Nvidia Metropolis provides vision AI for these tasks. Virtual integration helps save on the high costs of physical changes during construction.

Nvidia’s technologies are paving the way for future advancements in AI and digital humans. This progress promises to make interactions smoother and more efficient. Whether it's a virtual assistant or a robot factory, the future holds exciting possibilities.
